finQbit welcomes Prof. Michał Studziński to the team, following the recent addition of Prof. Dariusz Gatarek, co-creator of the BGM interest rate model.
Michał Studziński earned his Ph.D. in Physics at the University of Gdańsk and continued his research at the National Quantum Information Centre in Sopot and the University of Cambridge. He currently serves as an Associate Professor at the University of Gdańsk, where he leads the Quantum Devices in Computer Science group at the ICTQT – International Centre for Theory of Quantum Technologies.
His research spans mathematical physics, particularly representation theory, and quantum computing for quantum chemistry, with a focus on optimizing special-purpose quantum protocols and understanding the impact of noise in quantum algorithms and communication protocols. He also works on symmetry- and representation-theoretic methods for complexity reduction, as well as higher-order quantum computation and indefinite causal structures. His contributions include work on the second laws of quantum thermodynamics and universal programmable quantum processors.
With this addition, finQbit continues to build a team combining scientific expertise in quantum computing with applied research into financial risk management infrastructure.
